The Big Picture
I study the physical and biochemical processes associated with ion channel folding and assembly.
Specifically, I am investigating the ability of potassium channels to cluster into 2-dimensional patches within the membrane during channel assembly. I am also interested in the folding dynamics and stability of potassium channels and how arrhythmia-associated mutations can directly interfere with folding and lead to pathology.
