The Big Picture

My research utilizes quantitative imaging of genetically encoded metabolic sensors to interrogate the mechanism of mechanical force translation into chemical energy. I study this in two different mammalian systems at the single-cell level: endothelial cells in response to hemodynamic flow and T cell activation in response to receptor/ligand interactions.
